The idea of a large scale permanent residence (static or movable) in the sea is nothing new, but it’s a concept that we still need to see realized. Projects like Freedom Ship, The Seasteading Institute, the International Ocean Station or Blueseed, just to name a few, intend to create unprecedented structures to explore the limits of engineering, socialism, entrepreneurship and politics.
We’d like to support this projects and believe that such a venture will be really interesting to expand civilization further away from land and create new lifestyles and cultures (imagine permanently living on a ship and being able to see the world all the time) and specially, will serve as a prototype to learn from for when we establish colonies out of Earth.
